(ATLANTA, GA) – Sharity Ministries, a 501(c)(3) non-profit health care sharing ministry, continues the tradition of sharing for the benefit of its collective membership and community. Sharity uses a percentage of funds collected from its membership to distribute to communities in need. In December of 2018, Sharity dedicated a portion of its charitable giving to FOCUS + Fragile Kids. FOCUS (Families of Children Under Stress) + Fragile Kids, formed in 1983, is an Atlanta based non-profit centered around helping children who are medically fragile or have significant developmental and/or physical disabilities. They (FOCUS+Fragile Kids) comfort children and their families with hospital visits and support groups, offer hope through information and education, provide fun activities for parents and kids and help to make equipment available to children in need.
For over 25 years, the Fragile Kids Foundation has worked to enhance the quality of life and well-being of children with support, supplies and prescribed medical equipment not covered by Georgia Medicaid or private insurance. Funds are directed to Georgia’s medically fragile children living with chronic illnesses, genetic and traumatic disorders and orthopedic and neuromuscular challenges. FOCUS reaches almost 3,000 families in metro Atlanta and surrounding areas.
Sharity believes in the Fragile Kids Foundation’s mission and financially and spiritually supports the foundation’s efforts. William Thead, CEO, states, “Be a blessing to others in need, not just with charitable gifts, but by volunteering in your community, sharing in others’ burdens, praying for someone seeking wisdom or by simply lending an ear. There is always an opportunity to be a blessing in your community.”
About Sharity Ministries
