Sharity Donates $20,000 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities

(ATLANTA, GA) – Sharity Ministries, a 501(c)(3) non-profit health care sharing ministry, continues its tradition of charitable giving for the benefit of its membership and community. Sharity uses a portion of funds collected from its membership to distribute to other non-profits that support their collective ideals. In late December 2018, Sharity chose to support, among others, the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) in Atlanta, Georgia. According to RMHC’s website, “The mission of RMHC is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families.”

The Ronald McDonald House served 352 families in 1979 when it first opened its doors. Today, over 3,207 families receive assistance each year. In 2018, RMHC provided a safe home for families with sick children for over 2.5 million overnight stays and saved them more than $930 million in food and lodging expenses. Sharity elected to support RMHC operations because both non-profits believe in sharing the financial burdens with families when it matters most.

As monthly contributions from members are collected, Sharity Ministries consistently donates a portion of these contributions to charities in need of support. William Thead, Sharity’s CEO, states, “Sharity Ministries is in full support of the family assistance provided by the Ronald McDonald House and is elated to be have the ability to donate to their mission.” According to Proverbs 3:9, a founding principle of our ministry, “Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops.” Mr. Thead further mentions, “Sharity’s tradition of blessing others will continue for decades to come, and we look forward to spreading God’s love in our congregation and beyond.”
