(ATLANTA, GA) – Sharity Ministries, a 501(c)(3) non-profit health care sharing ministry, continues its tradition of charitable giving for the benefit of its membership and community. Sharity uses a portion of funds collected from its membership to distribute to other organizations that support the collective ideals of the membership. In May of 2019, Sharity chose to support, among others, the Children’s Cancer Center in Tampa, FL.
Founded in 1974, the Children’s Cancer Center offers a multitude of services to children and their families, from treatment of cancer and blood disorders to family fun events and counseling. The non-profit organization has offered emotional, financial and educational support to over twenty-thousand children at no costs to the child’s family and operates solely from funds provided by business partners and donors, such as Sharity Ministries.
As monthly contributions from members are collected, Sharity Ministries consistently donates a portion of these contributions to charities in need of support. Joe Guarino, Sharity’s President, remarks, “Sharity’s charitable donations are focused around keeping children safe, fed, educated and healthy so that every child has the opportunity for a healthy tomorrow, and Children’s Cancer Center of Tampa, FL, fully embodies this mission. Sharity looks forward to continuing its support of this organization and the children they serve for many years to come.” According to Philippians 2:3-4, “In whatever you do, don’t let selfishness or pride be your guide. Be humble, and honor others more than yourselves. Don’t be interested only in your own life, but care about the lives of others too.”
